About Mount Pisgah Campground

One of the most popular of the Parkway's campgrounds, Mount Pisgah Campground is perched in the rolling mountains of western North Carolina on the southernmost end of the famous Blue Ridge Parkway. Surrounded by dense hardwood forests at an elevation of 4980 feet, it offers shady, cool respite from the summer heat. Whichever end of the day appeals, spectacular sunrise and sunset panoramic views can be enjoyed from nearby overlooks. Several popular hiking trails, ranging from moderate to strenuous, are accessible from the campground. Drenched in history, this area was once part of the holdings of George Vanderbilt and the site of his hunting camp house, Buck Springs (no longer standing), is close by.

Great visit.
Would be great if the Pisgah Inn was more flexible to have reservations available for campers too (not avialable because we did not stay at the Inn).

Improved since the last visit, with a quieter environment and saw rounds being made. Checks were done on our site for drainage given the heavy rain in the area, which were appreciated. Bathrooms and showers could use cleaning, but otherwise content. One of the better campsites I've been to.

The campground was excellent, with great faucets, and clean bathrooms.. but quiet hours don't seem to be enforced.

beautiful campground, very secluded spots, good clean bathrooms, amazing weather (July). try to get a spot away from the parkway if a quieter spot is required. be careful of many trails through the campground to the store and comfort stations if privacy is required.

One of our favorite campgrounds! Great campsites, nice bathhouse with a shower, hiking trails surround the area, and wonderful lunch spot at the Pisgah Inn (reservations required).

I've been hitting this campground for 30 years now and always enjoy it. Great rangers, great hosts, mostly great campers. Didn't see any bears this time but there were plenty of chipmunks to amuse my puppy. Crazy electrical storm destroyed one of the big trees in the lower B Loop; that was a little unnerving.

It had been some time since we camped here and forgot just how nice and private many of the site are. The regular rains and high elevation makes for lots of nice undergrowth / screening.
Love the Saturday eve ranger talks!
Great local high elevation hiking abound

Great campsite. Bathrooms were very clean with the exception of muddy floors. (Maybe from the shower or rain?) We were in C4. Bear locker opened from front, so much easier to put heavier items inside. Also grill grate swung over fire or out of fire. Other sites grills had to be raised from ground and lifted over the fire.
