Hesitant to leave an honest review because I don't want this site to be booked- we absolutely love C05! Small trail that leads directly up to the camp store. Secluded site, felt homey and private. Still close to the (clean) bath house. We have already booked a second trip to stay at this same site. 10/10 recommend this campground, and site C05 if you're looking for a quite relaxing weekend.

You can’t beat the location and the elevation during the hot, summer months. The tent sites are very close to one another and circle around a bathroom. The bathroom was gross so make sure you have good footwear.
The better sites are on the other side of the road (away from the bathrooms). The interior sites may look perfect according to the pictures, but there’s no privacy and there are paths leading to the bathrooms that abut the campsites. Even if there seems to be shrubs in the pictures, the sites are very close.
We had a great time and I hope to return. Note there isn’t a utility sink so you need to do your dishes at the site. The bear locker is great. It’s spacious and effective.

So quiet! Definitely eat at the Pisgah Inn. Hikes nearby are very good.

We camped on site A16 in a 34 ft travel trailer. The site was long enough for our truck, camper, and SUV. We had cell service with Verizon, and also internet. There were 6 of us plus a dog, and we had a great time. Park Ranger told us to make sure we did not leave any food or cooler out because of a bear getting in someone’s cooler the night before. There was plenty of things to do in the area, and our 8 year old granddaughter was never bored. She also enjoyed going to the camp store across the street from the campground. A great time was had by all.

Been going there for over 30 years. Best campground on the Parkway. Well kept. Camp sites are private nestled in the rohadendron.

We made a reservation for site A10.
It rained for days before we arrived.
When we arrived, the campground was full.
There was a river running through our site, we could not change.
This site should NEVER be available to reserve, always FCFS.
It dried out the day we left.

The elevation allowed for us to get away from the heat for a few days. Pishga is a beautiful area. The campground is in need of repairs (as all of our National CG's). One shower for each sex is better than none. Cell service can be found at the Pishga Inn/camp store on other side of parkway. Camp sites are very shaded, very little sunlight.

We were unable to use the space we rented because it was too tight to back the trailer into. We had to use a site on a hill and there was no place to set up our tent except on the pavement.

Nice camp spot. Slept in my suv. Everything I needed was here. Water, showers, toilet and hiking.

The person at the gate who greeted us was friendly they were blooming flowers around our camp spot and the way that the foliage protected the camp spot was amazing I am absolutely in love with this mountain.
