I stayed in A Loop and the sites were too close together exposed to the road..no privacy..A-22..also hate the loss of the camp laundry area in the camp store. And the Dining room has become disrespectful of campers. No dinner reservations...no take out meals..only ready made sandwiches. I realize campers do fix their own food but my picnic table was a foot from the road with no trees.

Great site, beautifully maintained grounds, and wonderful ranger presence. The bathrooms and showers were nice and a great place to warm up in cold temperatures. Sites are closer together than I though but placed well to offer as much privacy as possible. We will most definitely be back!

The camp site I originally picked out was not as imagined. The table and fire pit were up a steep hill away from the place to park the camper and the lot was unlevel. I traded to another spot that had a spring or water leak running through it so it was a mudhole for the whole time we camped 2 days with our dog going in and out. There were some other camp sites that were closed that looked better than the one we used. Camp host not the most pleasant either. Upon first pulling in I pulled past the office to park as traffic was backing up behind me and she came out waving her arms to come back. After going out and coming back in another time and parking in line they asked that I move forward so traffic wouldn't back up on the parkway (I wished they would have made up their mind). Other than that the parkway was great!

We love Mount Pisgah Campground. Convenient , beautiful, well laid out, with friendly staff if you need help. Highly recommend this for campers.

A beautiful area. The staff were very helpful. We took a 29’ fifth wheel. Our site booked was a pull through along the road. It was such a tight squeeze, we could not put our one slide out or unhook because we could not hook back easily. The site was A28. We were going to leave after two nights but the neighbors at the next site were switching so we switched to A30. We could put our slide out and unhook easily to sight see so we stayed an extra night. We will go again, just pay closer attention to the site descriptions.

We stayed at the Mount Pisgah campground in October and enjoyed our stay very much. We had a very secluded campsite which was also very beautiful and spent two days hiking and enjoying the remarkable views. I recommend using the All Trails app on your phone so you won't get lost hiking like we did.

Stayed 2 nights in Site A-13 with 26' travel trailer. Site was VERY tight as far as setting up the camper and parking to the side of camper. Could not tell from the reservation pic site was so out of level from side to side and front to back. Blocked road when unhooking and hooking up camper. Had 3 nights reserved but left day early due to rain coming and to get out of campsite I would have to go into grass across road and up steep hill on a curve in 4 wheel drive so left before rain arrived to play it safe. Curiously there were much more level sites and spacious in loop C which does not allow RV camping. Just too tight a campground for our size tag along. Campground was kept up well and of course love the ambience. Also the dump station is in a tight loop with a steep exiting loop that caused me to just leave without attempting to negotiate that area. Trailer would have drug rear bumper and sewer connection trying to get out I'm afraid. Left tanks full till next camping trip out following week.

From Interstate 40 west, take exit 47 and turn south onto Highway 191. Stay in the right hand lane and turn south again onto the Blue Ridge Parkway at the North Carolina Arboretum; enjoy the amazing views and nine tunnels along the Blue Ridge Parkway for 15 miles (24 km). You will pass the Mt. Pisgah Parking Area, the Country Store and the Pisgah Inn on the left. The campground is on the right immediately after the Pisgah Inn.
From Waynesville, North Carolina, take Highway 276 for about 22 miles to The Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn north onto the parkway and continue four miles to the campground on the left.
Mount Pisgah Campground is accessible via Interstate 40, approximately 10 miles to the north, with access to Highway 191 leading south to the campground. Additionally, Highway 276 provides access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is the direct route to the campground.

Policies & Rules
General
- Cell phone reception is minimal in this area.There are showers in Loop B and Loop C. Electric, water, or sewer hook-ups are not available per site.
- Vehicles are to be parked on the pavement of an assigned site or in designated parking areas. A maximum of two vehicles may be parked in each site (i.e. trailer and car, two cars, two motorcycles). Most sites are limited to one vehicle.
- CAUTION: Bears frequent the area. Be aware! You are required to keep a clean campsite and store all food or scented items in your car or provided food lockers. DO NOT HANG TRASH FROM THE LANTERN POST. All food, cooking utensils, coolers, drinks, any scented items and trash must be properly stored at all times. Food and scented items must be stored in a locked vehicle, camper or site storage locker. Never leave the campsite without properly storing food and scented items. All campers are responsible for proper storage of food and scented items while in the campground. Any violators may be fined or summoned to appear in court for improper storage of food and scented items. All campers are responsible for any violations at their campsite, vehicle, camper and/or site storage locker.
- Only one tent is allowed per site unless there is adequate space on the provided tent pad. No more than 6 people per campsite. Group Campsites are located at Doughton Park Campground and Rocky Knob Campground.
- All tents must be placed on prepared pads where provided.
- Hammock camping is permitted, but campers must abide by posted regulations.
- Generator use is prohibited.
- GPS and mapping devices may not provide accurate directions to Mt. Pisgah Campground.
- Firewood Regulation: Only heat-treated firewood bundled in its original packing and bearing a certification seal from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) or a state department of agriculture may be brought onto the Parkway. Campers may still collect dead and down wood in the immediate vicinity of campgrounds and picnic areas. This rule is strictly enforced!
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
