What Guests Are Saying
Mount Pisgah Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with friendly staff, clean facilities, and excellent access to hiking trails and waterfalls. Many campers appreciate the privacy and spaciousness of the sites, as well as the enjoyable ranger-led programs. While some sites may be challenging for larger RVs and there are occasional noise issues, the overall experience is positive, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers.

The camp grounds are kept very clean and the staff was always very helpful. We love staying on Mt. Pisgah. My wife also stayed on night at the Pisgah Inn and very much liked it. The dining room take-away food was very good and the staff could not have been more helpful to us. We had a problem with our car and they were able to give us a late checkout. Plus, the gentleman in the maintenance department really helped us and one of them gave us a jump and wouldn't take any money for it. We cannot say enough about how helpful everyone was. Thanks.

Nice campground. Definitely got a lot louder And busier on Friday night when families started arriving for the weekend. Bathroom was clean. We saw very little of the views due to fog.

This is an excellent campground, but needs attention! Many sites are very un-level and SMALL! Additionally, it would be great to have water and electricity. There are water spigots through the A sites...do the work and provide hookups....Sites on the B and C areas are much more beautiful and level but dont allow generators. Please update this magnificent location! I am willing to pay more for an upgraded site!

Wonderful folks at the campground and Pisgah Inn. Hiking Mt Pisgah was great! God is good!
Also enjoyed the hot shower at campground, very clean too!
Only discouragement was the campground store did not have firewood.

Great weekend in the NC mountains. Bear activity still present.
I wish all campgrounds that do not have power would change their policy to NO GENERATORS ALLLOWED.
I go to the outdoors to hear the outdoors. UGH. If someone can't live without their TV they should stay home or go to a KOA.

The Mt. Pisgah area is a great place to stay. There are so many places to discover including Mt. Pisgah itself. We are slowing down as we reach our 70's and 80's, but we still managed to walk the Daniel Ridge Loop and see the waterfall on a previous trip, and this trip we walked down the Little Bald trail, across the connector, and up the Laurel Mtn. trail to the Buck Springs parking lot where we left our car.
DO NOT use the campground map from either the Blue Ridge Parkway or Recreation.gov. The position of the campsites is misleading. D24 is very close to D25 without any vegetation between them. Conversations from D25 can easily be heard in D24. Rainwater coming across the road into D25's parking area drains on D24 by way of a pipe. Pictures of the campsites don't show how close they are to other campsites and the maps are useless for that purpose. D24 does have a level tent site and a mostly-level table with a nice fire ring. The camp store has approved firewood and we had a nice fire each night. It's mostly quiet except for the aforementioned D25 and some loud banging from D18 down the road.
In the past 30 years, we have enjoyed walking/hiking in many areas including the Middle Prong Wilderness, Shining Rock Wilderness, many trails near Sam Knob, many trails in the Graveyard Fields area, and various parts of the MTS trail system in addition to climbing Mt. Pisgah and Looking Glass Rock. We have enjoyed picking blueberries camping in Shining Rock, in the Mt. Pisgah campground, and on Cold Mountain (in a thunderstorm!), and staying in the PIsgah Inn on our anniversaries. We recommend all of those places, and we are sure you can find many others without going very far from the campground.
