Although somewhat chilly, we had a very good camping experience at Mt. Pisgah, enjoying the views, hiking, and great food at the Mt. Pisgah Inn restaurant.

Quiet location. Small but steep hill from parking space to the picnic table. No designated tent pad.

The site was outstanding. The natural beauty was preserved in this campground with small trails maintained to get to comfort stations while maintaining the natural flora. The late summer pollinating flowers were abundant and added to the experience.
The campground is clean, natural, and embraces the natural beauty of the area.

I was impressed with the check-in associate who provided a map with my campsite and valuable campground information highlighted. The campground and Loop C Comfort Station was very clean. Loop C proximity to BRP included road noise. Loop D appears further from BRP and perhaps less road noise. The Campstore proximity across the BRP was stocked well. The loop hike to Graveyard Falls and onto Skinny Dip Falls was a nice walk and workout.

The weather at night was terrible, so we couldn't see the Perseid meteor shower, but the campground was virtually empty. It was very pleasant with little noise from children nor big pickup trucks. It's a very sweet campground.

Friendly staff and clean grounds. The only noise I heard during my stay came from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bears are active in the area so don't feed them or leave ANY food out, or even turn your back on it as I was told. The Pisgah Inn General Store is right across the Parkway in the parking lot of the Mt. Pisgah Inn if you need some last minute, overpriced supplies.

You will pass the Mt. Pisgah Parking Area, the Country Store and the Pisgah Inn on the left. The campground is on the right immediately after the Pisgah Inn.
