About Cedar Point Campground

Cedar Point Campground and Recreation Area is located in eastern North Carolina at the junction of the White Oak River and the Bogue Sound, immediately adjacent to the Swansboro Inlet. It is within 1 mile of full service shopping, and within 2 miles of NC's Crystal Coast and the barrier island beach community of Bogue Banks. The campground is extremely busy and reservations are recommended but must be made 3 days in advance. Of the 36 campsites, 4 are considered first-come, first served campsites that cannot be reserved or held, so a person must physically be there with their camping equipment to purchase the campsite. Cedar Point campground has the option to use Scan & Pay system, but by the rules of recreation.gov it may only be used for first-come, first served sites. Please make sure to contact a campground host to ensure availability before paying for any campsite. Failure to check with the campground host for availability may result in the loss of your camping fee.

Used this Park for an overnight and arrived after dark. Upon wakening on the morning, we could see this is a very nice campground. Sites are big, level and have electric. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Nice quiet campground, hiking or biking trails, boat ramp for kayaks or small boats also. Short drive or walk to all activities at state park from campground

Entire campground was well kept and clean. Bath house, while dated, was in good repair and kept spotlessly clean. My only complaint, if it could be called such, is that the timed, push-button showers are a real pain! And besides other campers leaving their bright led lights on all night to be rude and intrusive light pollution, we had a wonderful stay at Cedar Point; so much so that we've already reserved the same campsite this coming spring.

Big campground ; had the only pullthrough which was great !! Electric 30A was great ,& showers too. Laundry should be available to all, for a fee (not just hosts)

We had a good site (10) with privacy and a nice asphalt parking pad. Electricity was good and kept us warm in the cold nights. I was surprised how full the campsite was on a Monday at the end of November! 10miles away were miles and miles of Empty beach!
