Cedar Point Campground is praised for its clean facilities, spacious sites, and friendly hosts, making it a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay. Guests appreciate its proximity to beaches, nature trails, and various attractions, enhancing their overall experience. Some minor issues include occasional cold showers and limited water access at sites, but these do not significantly detract from the campground's appeal.

Sorry about electric hookups and first come, first serve reservations on website. We had other people trying to help us. The host came after about an hour of trying to make the hookup work, the host came by. all he had to do was turn on the switch at the main box. The reservations listed many FF and they were actually already taken. We were told to go to one site and there was a tent there, already taken. When we arrived the host couple was going off for a walk. Thery saw us come in and ignored us. I had to chase them down to get help. Loved the campsite and campground but low grades on the hosts.

My husband and I have camped at Cedar Point Campground many times. The campground was very well manicured and the restrooms were clean and well equipped. We love camping at Cedar Point!

This was our fourth time here. We reserved a Friday and Saturday night stay so we could check in early on Saturday morning if we were running late but made it to enjoy Friday night also. We didn't bring our kayaks this time but enjoyed the hiking trails instead. We will definitely come back again.

No water at campsites…but water available to carry to site. Fire ring was great with good strong grill. We went to Pine Knolls Aquarium about a half hour drive away. Also took a walk at the ocean approximately 5 miles away. Showers and bathhouse clean and close.

Because of its proximity to the coast, Cedar Point is sometimes impacted by hurricanes and tropical storms and must be closed temporarily. These storms generally occur from July through September. It is always wise to check the weather forecast prior to your arrival, particularly during these months. |
