Restrooms were clean and very well designed. Unfortunately the tent camping sites (only 4) were very badly designed. They were so small our tent needed to be jammed between the grill and fire pit making both of them unusable. The tent pads were covered with gravel which was too large and sharp for safe tent placement. Finally all 4 camp sites were way too close together.
Arrowhead is a fine campground for RVs but not at all adequate for tent camping.
Thanks for asking.

After traveling quite a way on dirt roads to get there, the paved roads and sites of Arrowhead were a relief. However, those paved sites are far from level, and pose quite a risk to long campers. Ours is short, so we fared well, but we witnessed the serious issues of another camper. The Badin Lake Trail is great, although too long for old folks like us. We cut across and returned to camp a shorter way. Walking along the lake was wonderful though. Our mid-March stay was very quiet, and we'd return again, being very choosy about the site.

We rented space #23 which is a tent only spot. It was plenty big enough for 4 tents and a sun shelter. The campground host was friendly and helpful. The bath house was warm and clean. The lake is easy to walk to and there are numerous places to fish from the bank. All in all I would recommend Arrowhead Campground.

Clean and well kept campground. Heated bathroom also which was nice to walk into on a cold morning. Didn’t see any sign of the hosts at this campground despite there being two. Campground is on part of a 5 1/2 or 2 mile hiking loop around it that goes along parts of Lake Badin which is nice.
