uwharrie is one of my favorite places and since i bought a camper Arrowhead is also one of my favorite campgrounds. I travel up there from Charleston SC with the group SC Jeepers and it is always the best time.

Love this campground. It rained all weekend but it was fun. The neighbors were a bit loud after midnight but it was a great time.

Going to Arrowhead CG during the middle of the week in the Beginning of November was the absolute best time. Weather was great and there were not many sites with anyone in them. There were people that had some loud 4wd’s but you only heard them as they were coming back from or leaving to use the off road trails and were not a concern at all. Although the gov’t was in the middle of their shutdown, the staff still worked to keep things clean and open. I will be back but during the off season as I understand that they are very busy during peak seasons. The hiking trails were fantastic.

Nice campground, sites are somewhat small but to be expected. Really the only reason its not 5 stars is because the lack of water hookup. Would be a top notch hunting camp if you had water hookups at the site. Other then that, I definitely enjoyed the site we were in. Close to the bath house so that definitely helped. Would be nice if they were a little warmer.
