Nice campground. Loop 5 is the most shaded. The bath houses are adequate. Be sure to bring flying insect spray in case your site has a yellow jacket ground nest in the site pad railroad ties like ours did this past week. If you don't like bugs you may want to avoid the campsites along the rivers. These sites also have signs that say they are prone to flashfloods. It rains often in this area so be sure to plan accordingly. The camp store has limited hours and limited products, but helpful and nice staff. The stream and brook at the campground offer a variety of opportunities for fun. Nearby, there are a lot of single lane dirt roads to explore and hikes to several waterfalls very close. The AT Rock Gap shelter is also close. The Wayah Bald is definitely worth visiting, particularly on a clear day, but even with mist or drizzle it's a beautiful place. There is food and fuel within 15 minutes. We would return for another stay at this campground.

This is a lovely campground tucked away in the woods with a nice river. My only negative would be that the hosts did not come around at any point during my visit to ensure that everything was OK and that I didn’t need anything

Loop 5 sites are very well shaded perfect for tent camping in summer.
However, half of the sites are first come first served only, and they are "always" full when I called ahead.
