The island is beautiful. The cabins need help. Plywood for the bathroom floor is an odd choice because it smells of absorbed urine. Sticky film along surfaces. The bunk bed ladders have foam padding that is partly duct taped on but mostly falling apart- odd because this could be fixed quickly with minimal effort. The exterior smelled strongly of propane, and staff came immediately and replaced the tank which resolved the issue. We rented the cabin as a back up in case the weather turned on us or in case of a heavy mosquito night, while beach camping, and we much preferred sleeping in our pop up camper. But it's 4 solid walls out of the wind, with running water, a toilet, and a propane stove, with a nice screened in porch and folding chairs.

Park Ranger(s) went thru all of our personal belongings after decideding we should be evicted despite there being NO PROBLRM . No one was trying to check in. We had separate Reservations to complete our week stay. My prescription medications were thrown helter shkelter in different bags.

Been going to this island for 35 years but things are changing fast. People are going that have no idea that it doesn't have amenities that they are use to and come to play with their 4x4s which are ruining the place that has been enjoyed for many years

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Guests should obtain firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests; transporting firewood is illegal in some states.
