The firepit was full of ashes from the last campers. We had to clean it in order to have a fire. The last campers had put huge rocks on the site - probably used them as chocks. Had to move them (about 8) before we could back into the spot.

Always enjoy Bandits Roost - we live close by and this was a "shakedown" trip for our new trailer. We are fortunate to have such a great campground within an hours drive of our home.

My site was on the 'A' loop. The shower was terrible. I had to stand in the last person's water because the shower floor did not have the proper "drop" to allow all the shower water to go to the drain.
There was nothing to sit on to remove my clothes. After the shower I had to alternate standing on 1 wet foot to put my clothes on. I had to hang my clothes on rebar or put them in the water on the floor. The room was very small and steamy. The total experience was terrible. The worst shower on the east coast. I'm printing this but the sad thing is that nothing will be done about it.

Nice level campsites. We were in the shady area which we prefer. Campsites in the A loop were spaced out well or you could choose ones that were closer for a group. Bathrooms were adequate. We were told they run out of hot water quickly but we didn’t experience that.
Camp host was friendly. Sites were clean and well maintained. The campground is fairly close to town if you need anything. We plan to return.
