We stayed at Arrowhead in July, for one night on our way to Virginia from South Carolina, and one night on the way back home.
The campground itself is nice and quiet, clean, etc. We especially enjoyed the hot showers on our second night, since we had been boondocking for a week in VA prior to. Overall a very nice experience.
One issue: The road in to the campground from the highway is in pretty rough shape, we had to crawl along at walking speed to avoid bouncing the car and trailer all over the road. That's our only complaint, and it's minor. And it may not even be the campground's fault.
Bottom Line: Two thumbs up from me and my wife.

Campground is very nice, peaceful and quiet. Restroom and showers are very well maintained. Drinking water tastes very good. Fire ring and picnic table are showing their age but very usable. RV drop station is clean and convenient. I love camping at Badin Lake.

I had 2 slots reserved again this year.....and again when we show up, there is no water in the sites. I wish these issues can be sent to the folks that reserve these slots that are looking to having water and electric. Several folks showed up there not having water in their tanks and couldn't use the pump station or their reserved site for water.
