Need the water to be turned on at the dump station or somewhere close to be able to fill your tanks in the winter......

Arrowhead Campground has always been a top notch place to stay while in Uwharrie. I already have another reservation for April 1,2020 thru April 5,2020.

couldn't fill my holding tank with water no hose connecter on the water supply was told my best bet was to go out of the park to fill it ,
the bathrooms were dirty and had not been cleaned for some time ! hot water was almost none existent, the paved path's and camp sites were covered with leaves! I have been there before for deer hunting and this was the worst I have seen it , not sure I will be back
the host last year was good ! bathrooms were cleaned or checked daily and the leaves were blown off the walks and camp sites .

Very nice. We enjoyed the hiking trails and being close to the fishing area. Easy access to the boat ramp. It would be a better rating if the restrooms and showers had hot water. When we are not hooked up to sewer and water we depend on clean facilities and showers. Other campers that we spoke with said the same thing.

The love the Uwharrie area, it's very pretty and rustic. But both times that I have camped at either Arrowhead campground or the Badin Lake campground there have been a bunch of redneck yahoos coming and going in their ATVs all night long, revving their engines, hooting any hollering and carrying on like a pack of wild hyenas late into the night. So definitely don't come camping here if you are looking for a good night's rest, because there is no enforcement of the curfew/quiet hours.

Black Mountain Campground is a definite recommended camping location. The staff was amazing! The facilities were clean and well maintenances. And the sites and trails are awesome. My family can’t wait until this spring and summer

Stayed at this campground twice already and really love it. The tent loop was nice and quite with tons of shade and the bath house was very clean. I will be back.

This is a good place if you want to go through the woods on paved pathways and/or drive 4x4's nearby. You can get down to the river almost entirely on paved paths, so that's helpful for people who prefer or need those. The campsites are fairly large despite being close to your neighbors, but not in an invasive way. The bathrooms were fantastic. Not buggy, large areas for showers with privacy, just great. It's a bring your own soap, though. And they have family bathrooms if you need to take all the kids in at the same time. Water pumps for washing dishes - I'm not sure if it was drinkable. Good place if you like to stay up chatting around the campfire until 10pm, and there are probably other areas were there is more privacy.
