Clean and spacious campsites. Every site had a fire pit and picnic table under a covered patio area.

I really like the views of the lake that the campsites at Big Bend have to offer! It’s so pretty there!

Very clean campsite. Bathrooms could have been cleaned. People need to pick up their dog poop. Maybe you could put up signs or request they clean up after their dogs when they reserve.

Great campgrounds, always clean and tidy. The bath house is older but was extremely clean and everything works. Everyone seems to work very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We camped in the Big Bend area in site A-31. Overall, the campground is good. I would not recommend site A-31. It has issues that could and cheaply be corrected. The site is located on a slope. It has an asphalt RV pad, fairly level, with a concrete pad under the picnic table. The problem, years of “blow dirt” has accumulated around the edge of the pads, causing the pads to be below grade. Any rain runoff pools on the pads leaving dirt after evaporating. This issue could easily be remedied with an excavator (which I witnessed being used elsewhere in the park by COE staff) to push the earth away from the pads and down the slope leaving the pads above grade once again. The site also needs lawn maintenance. While there I filled the fire ring with sandbur and goat head plants I pulled up. Regular watering would go a long way.

Loved the Big Bend Campground at Canton Lake, OK. Too bad some of the 50 AMP sites are not lake front, but we made do with 30. We look forward to returning in the future since 2 nights were not enough.
