Big Bend offers a peaceful and family-friendly camping experience with clean facilities, spacious sites, and beautiful lake views. Many guests appreciate the well-maintained grounds, friendly staff, and easy check-in process. September is a great time of year to camp at Canton Lake. The weather was beautiful, no wind, moderate temperatures, and not that many people. I camped alone and slept in my truck. The bathhouse was clean. I enjoyed the owls talking to one another during the night. I heartily recommend you try Canton Lake the next time you're looking for someplace to go not too far from where you live.

I don’t know what is going on but they are really letting this campground fall apart. It seems like they are spending all the money on Canadian and completely neglecting Big Bend. It’s just really sad.

The wind was blowing off the lake and made it feel much cooler in the middle of a heat wave so that was awesome! We always enjoy camping there there because the park is clean and well maintained. The town of Canton is not far away so if you forget something, you can always drive in and pick up supplies from dollar general, dollar tree, grocery store, or other stores. Always a stress free stay.

The site was nice, pretty level with shade from the trees. Kids loved being close to the playground. Concrete bench for picnic table had some issues and had been wrapped in duct tape due to the missing pieces of concrete. Otherwise, a really great site!
