What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

Everything about this site was welcoming. The "primitive" (B-Loop) is vastly better if you don't like camping in a dense city of RVs and campers, and don't require electric hook-ups.
Also, the showers were closed due to winter freeze damage. It made little difference to us but would have been nice had that issue been mentioned on the site page.

Bathrooms are not open. Also some campers were extremely loud after quiet hours.

Hawthorn has become our “preferred “ camp ground. We enjoy every aspect from the quiet setting to the beautiful scenery. Whether we stay next to the water or up on the hill… we always enjoy ourselves.

Would have been helpful if they would mention about not having water at the RV sites

excellent - just a wonderful place to see nature and enjoy it and fish in a secluded spot if it is not taken - which it is but that is ok. people need to fish consistently

Site length was way off. I could not fit my 41' 5th wheel into the spot that was to fit 58'. We needed to cancel and move on.

Had a great weekend. Was a little windy, but the spot was level and easy to get my 30' trailer in.

The camp hosts do an excellent job of keeping the grounds clean and the restrooms sanitary.
