What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. This was our first time at this campground. It was well manicured and well maintained. We were steps away from restrooms with electric & showers that were stocked and cleaned daily. Pit toilets were nearby as well. Nature trail was well marked and cleared for walking. Beautiful short hike (1.2 miles) but there were more trails within the main path. Maybe it was the time of year we went but there was a nice breeze the entire time we were there and the least flies I’ve ever seen when camping which was nice. Employees were super helpful and friendly. Very peaceful weekend. We will be back for sure.

Hawthorne Bluff is absolutely the best place for tent camping! They have a nice bathroom with flushable toilets and hot showers! It’s also great for fishing, hiking, picnicking, or just relaxing! They do a great job of keeping it well maintained!

The reservation was easy. The check in when we got there was easy. We were right on the water and were able to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife. The bathrooms were clean. As with every State Park, you need to bring your own toilet paper because they run out. Another good thing is that it's only 30 minutes from Tulsa.

I wish somebody had been in the booth when I checked in but everything else was fantastic.

Wonderful place to stay with wonderful people. Just make sure you bring a very long water hose.

It was quiet and beautiful.
You can not stay hooked up to water. You have to fill your tank.

This is a beautiful park right on Oogolah Lake. The sights are nice and large. However some sites are very unlevel. To level my 35' MH my right front tire was over a foot off the ground. The staff was great.

The tent sites were clean and well maintained. The gate workers were very friendly. The only negative I have is that we couldn't find any water spouts in the park. The only water source we found was in the bathroom. Also I know it all cost money but us tent campers would love to have electric too. I think it would be helpful to advise people of this on your website or at the entrance to the park.
