What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

WONDERFUL! 👌
So PEACEFUL and clean. SHOWERS ARE HOT AND CLEAN. That alone is awesome, but add in the views, recreation activities and friendliness of the staff here, and you have one of the BEST camping areas in the region!
We loved it so much we stayed an extra day!

My kids had a great time. The bathrooms were clean for a campsite and the atmosphere was nice. We will be going back.

We enjoyed the weekend and the view was beautiful. Nice breeze off the lake. Campground was clean and quiet. Not an easy way to get to the water from our site. The restrooms were clean.

The camp is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a great time here and will definitely return. Just remember to put your food away at night in a secure place.

It was absolutely beautiful and clean. The only thing we didn’t like , was that people kept coming from the public swimming area to swim in the water attached to our campsite we paid in advance for. They kept walking thru our camp large groups at a time and tripping over our things , tent included and we couldn’t use the water we paid for . It was a mess . We did end up leaving because of it. There was no privacy. Just chaos.

The parking spots are in need of significant upgrades and maintenance. There are three water Spicket for the entire park. The entire park electrical is only 30 amp, this needs to be updated to 50 amp. Many of the spots are difficult to get into with a larger RV, such as a fifth wheel due to several trees needing to be removed. A significant upgrade would be to add rental boat dock parking spaces to where you could park your boat overnight in the slips.
