Nice little campground with little noise and easy hikes nearby. Didn't try the bike trails, but biking on the road was comfortable and not dangerous.

It is a nice campground if it were kept up properly. I like that there is space between sites. The trails were well maintained. However, the vault toilets were extremely dirty and smelly. The day before my stay, I called BLM and asked if fires were still not allowed. They said no, it is still too dry for fires. That night, a person two spaces down, had a roaring fire with sparks flying upwards. Because I was told no, I did not take things I would have normally. Then when a park employee came to the campground, I asked about that, and she said oh, no, the fire restrictions were lifted and you could have a fire in the firepit. I'm not sure where else one would have a fire but in the fire pit. Having a fire was not important to me, but they should all have the same story.
On my way to the coast, I visited two other campgrounds just to check them out for future visits, and their restrooms were extremely clean.

Great little campground. Easy walk to the falls. Campsites have plenty of space between them with lots of foliage so they feel very private. There is potable water and pit toilets. The river is only a short walk from campsites and a nice place to put a chair on a hot summer day.

Lovely campsite that made our first trip with our small children so enjoyable. The sites were spaced well so we had some privacy. Our site had a little path down to the river (site 4) which was very shallow on our trip, perfect for the kids to splash around in. The trail to Alsea falls was well maintained and a nice walk for our 5 and 3 year olds. It was a pretty buggy and the toilets weren’t ideal but those things are not dealbreakers for us.

We had a great time. Had to pick up some litter and there was no firewood for sale available but all around great experience.
