What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

The nice easy hike around the lake is well maintained and gives you lots of views of the forest, Mt. Hood and the beautiful surroundings. The campsites are lovely and generally very private compared to most campgrounds. It's more expensive than many campgrounds (e.g., firewood cost $9 for a small bundle) but that is probably due to it being a "resort" of sorts. The lodge store has some basic needs (and lots of souvenirs) which is convenient if you forgot or need something.

What a wonderful resort. I typically camp more primitive so all the "city life" was very distracting on the weekend, weekdays wouldn't have this experience, I imagine. The whole park was well kept, esp the vault toilets, clean and actually smelled good! The cashier at the store was Vegan, so don't ask her about anything to do with fishing, no judgment, just bring a book with information because there is no service to access regulations. Otherwise, the store was well stocked with needed supplies and having access to ice was a luxury. The lake is awesome! The wildlife is awesome, make sure to secure all food. We left out a bag of individually wrapped chocolates and in the morning a critter had left wrappers all over the place. I meant to ask, if you rent a boat for all day, can you come off the lake at your leisure all day, or do you have to stay on the lake? Can campers go out on the lake after Day use areas have closed? I'll be more prepared next time and avoid the weekend.

Great campsites. They are nicely separated from each other by natural features

When we arrived, the original site number 19 had debris and logs blocking the tent site, the office switched us to Lot 16, but could only let us day until Friday morning. They made us pay an additional money for three nights day, even though we had an entire week, paid for ahead of time for the old site, they did not refund our money for the old site for those three days. There was also no Internet or cell phone service. And the last two nights we were there. There was no showers available because of a water issue they were having. Very disappointing.

Gorgeous location amongst old growth trees. Bring dry wood.

It would be helpful to post the water operating hours on the spigot itself. We went to get water in the morning and it was turned off, but then later was back on. If it's a timed shut off, it would be nice to know ahead of time.

Beautiful spot but we got no notice of the trails not being clear, the lake still being frozen over or the weather conditions. Weather apps telling us it was going to be 80 did not prepare us for the 30 degree weather at night or 5ft of snow covering the majority of our campsite.

Not only was this a wonderful location, but all of Lost Lake is also a great place to camp. Here are the
Pluses:
1. Arrival is well organized.
2. The sites are always clean.
3. Toilets are generally close to most sites
4. My grandchildren love the lake, the boat rentals, and the general store.
5. Thankfully there is no cell service. I am thrilled to turn off the 24/7 cycle for a few days.
6. There are nice hiking trails in the area.
7. They have rules about time and noise which most (but not all) groups follow.
8. Camp hosts are very helpful.
The only negative is that Lost Lake gets very crowded on the weekends. If you can swing a weekday stay, do so.
