The road signage is very insufficient, on the main road drove past the entrance sign (no mention of blue bill, just the other campground) then 10 minutes later the road ended so I turned back.
The campground is nice, clean, well managed.
Even after dark you can hear the OHV’s, and a nearby camper was tuning an OHV or boat engine in the campground.
Can’t blame anyone fir the heavy marine layer and drizzle which cut the stay short.

It was nice quiet place. It has water and Restrooms. The restrooms were very clean!!! The numbering on the website says 001, 002, 003, etc. but the post at each site only have 1,2,3, etc. on the posts to 19

Campground was attractive, neat and well cared for. Sites are large enough to provide some privacy. The park itself is amazing - wish I had had more time to explore. Cell service was iffy, perhaps because of fog, and best in the parking lot near the beach.

The area is very nice, and great as a cool place to camp during the hot summer months. Definitely look at the images and details for your site, as what you see is what you get- I had issues finding a level place for my tent in site 004, and I saw that some sites only had pavement for their surface. There are a lot of UTV tracks around the area, so when events are present, the sounds of motors cross over to the camp ground very easily. Mosquitoes were everywhere so make sure to pack insect repellent. The beach is only a ten minute walk down the road, and there's a leisurely walk around Bluebill Lake nearby. The nearby Coos Bay has lots to do. Camp Host was very friendly and helpful. My phone company is AT&T and I had decent coverage over most of the area, but slow speeds, so light cellphone use for texting is okay, but any streaming or heavy use will have issues. Overall it was a good experience.

We loved our stay at Bluebill! The camp sites are well-spaced and adequate in size. Having Bluebill Lake nearby to hike around added to our enjoyment. The only downside to our stay were the big mosquitos that we found were extremely hungry!!!

Nice campground, site was clean. Campground is more peaceful than others near OHV/Dune areas. Good family camping.

Great family campground close to dunes. Could hear ATV noise in the background but not enough to keep us up. Great freshwater spigots near all sites. Sites felt private with tree coverage.

Someone or something had taken a large poop in the only area to put your tent at this site(13) so we had to try to put our tent on the concrete. Campground host was incommunicado.

The tent spaces were cramped and could see and hear the neighbors entire time. The only thing great was the location and access to horsefall beach

This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. |
