This site was spacious and more private in comparison to the other sites at this campground, which was much appreciated as a tent camper! There were some easy and beautiful trails around the campground with a few good fishing spots on the Lagoon. With the campground being so close to the dunes, we could hear the dune riders zooming almost all day (didn’t bother us, but could be a deterrent for others). I expected this area to be swarming with mosquitos with the Lagoon and amount of vegetation surrounding the campground, but that was not the case! Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would definitely come back!

Lovely, quiet campground w/ paths around lagoon, river, etc. Nice kayaking, nice hosts and wildlife personnel. I will most likely camp there again. Great check in/out times, decent bathrooms, etc. However, It is NOT clear on website that you must have a reservation, and pre-pay.

Site 32 was perfectly fine. Right next to the bathroom, no problems with smell, noise, or light on a Sunday night.
Worth noting is there is a cool nature trail encircling the campground and if you have one of the outer sites you probably have a direct access to the trail.
Very cool, peaceful place to spend the night

Away from the hiway. Quiet. Peaceful place.
Hot Showers available at the next campground, for a fee. $1 / 5 min.
Token machine was out of order but host placed tokens on steps to their RV.
We paid for ours but many just helped themselves.
