This is by far my favorite place to camp in the area for a multitude of reasons, including the fact that the natural environment is beautiful, well-maintained and pristine. The campsite itself is luah with greenery, large with picnic tables and yard, private and large enough to fit RVs a s tents. You are assured privacy in your surroundings and are respected by staff and other campers at all time. The camp bathrooms are clean and the showers are modern and beautiful in construction. I have been pleasantly surprised by this campsite every step of the way. I highly recommend a stay at Bush's! You will be at peace with the natural and man made surroundings.

Quiet campground with nice views of the lake. Lots of water activities to do.
Signage to the campground and throughout the campground to point out where numbered sites are would be a great addition.

Campsite map does not include the bathroom locations which would have been nice to know when booking as I had 3 children camping with me. The lake was also flooded which meant the beach was non-existent so we drove over to Keystone State Park for swim activities. Otherwise a nice little campsite, not to far from civilization if you forget anything.

The bathrooms need to be cleaned better. Jim and Renee are very excellent camp hosts.

Bush Recreation Area campground on Loyalhanna Lake was easily the worst Army Corps of Engineers Campground we have ever stayed at. It starts with poor signage on the main road in. Signs say “Loyalhanna Dam”, with no reference to “Bush Recreation Area”, making the trip in very confusing. Then internal campground signage is non-existent. Lake is closed to swimming and very mucky. No potable water at campground. Dump station was flooded. Push-button showers only last 3-5 seconds per push of button. The only reasons it gets 1-star are level sites and a nice new playground.
