What Guests Are Saying
Ives Run is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious sites, friendly staff, and a scenic location near Hammond Lake. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, the peaceful atmosphere, and the variety of outdoor activities available, such as fishing, hiking, and biking. Some minor issues were noted, including inconveniences with sewer hookups and limited availability for late-season bookings, but overall, campers had a great experience and expressed a strong desire to return.

Reserved Stephenhouse pavilion months in advance for a large staff meeting. When we arrived, Park staff had the pavilion set up for a school presentation, both inside and surrounding the pavilion. They asked us to leave. I declined as I had reserved the pavilion, paid $40. There was polite "disagreement" and ultimately the Park staff moved the school presentation. However, and I do not want read to much into this, but during our staff meeting, Park staff then arrived and ran lawnmowers and weed eaters directly around our staff meeting, which was disruptive. Great park and pavilions but I have questions on what happened to us.....

We had a great time there. When we were coming back in one time, we saw a lady standing at the office. We stop and ask her if we could be of help. She said she didn't know where to go. She had never been there before. Her site reservation was in her truck. If you had a site map posted on a window in the office so people could see it. Granted, you don't get first timers that often, but it would help. We also were on site 68 and the tree just below should have the limbs cut that hang over the road. We got some tears on our roof after hitting them. We also saw other campers go though and their camper roofs hit.

Really enjoy camping at Ives Run, but you need better lawn maintenance. Grass was so high we worried about ticks,

Camp hosts were very helpful. Memorial weekend was crazy crazy, but they still went above and beyond to help us with our problem.

Not a fan of overzealous park employees I. E. Camp Hosts that cannot think on their feet. f
For example, empty site to my left and empty site to my right, raining, we had some friends over that were camped in another loop. Parked in empty site. Immediately a visit from Host telling them to move. give me a break. Park employees need some people skills training.
