Campsites are well spaced to give plenty of privacy and great lake views and access. Sites are level and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think this is now my favorite campground! The ONLY downside is that I was unable to get a signal with Verizon. I was able to get some calls through if I stood in one exact spot but many text messages failed to send or receive. Mostly it is nice not to be tied to the phone but I don’t want to be totally unreachable in case of emergency. I was also very disappointed to learn it is closed through the winter. I this area, often that is the best weather for camping - at least through December.

The campground was a little further down the road than my GPS had it, but was easy enough to find. There was no one at the gate, just a sign that said the hosts were at site 24. Our site was large and spaced out from the neighboring sites. You could see the lake through the trees and it was a short somewhat steep walk down to the shore. Our site didn't have a "beach like" access, but we were able to get into the water from it with a quick drop. With camping comes bugs, but there were a LOT of spiders at the site. So, if that as in issue for you, this would not be the site to go to. Our site had electric and water, both of which worked fine as well as a picnic table, fire pit, counter height table, grill, and a lantern pole. The dumpsters near the exit were easy to use and not overflowing. We tent camped, so we didn't use the dump station. The place was dog friendly and relatively inexpensive. We did not see the hosts at all (they weren't at the gate when we arrived or left and the few times we walked by their site, no one was outside). We had no reason to knock on their door, so we did not converse with them. Note, the impact area and even the nearby dirt were hard packed and very dry, which was not conducive to using the stakes I brought for my dogs. We ended up using a tie out cable which is less than ideal with 4 dogs, but we made it work. And the gravel of the pull through is large rocks that can be rough on feet (if you are in flip flops or your pups are spoiled). Also, the gates were supposed to be closed from 10pm-7am, but there were vehicles driving around during that time, and one day an off leash dog came up to our site with no owner. So during our time there, the rules were not strictly enforced. The sunsets were stunning but were behind us (so look for sites on the other side of the road if you want that view - we were site 22). Cell reception was spotty to non-existent - depending on your preference that is awesome or horrible.

Outstanding campground. The sites are very much apart from each other, and offer lots of privacy and shade. Most have a great view of the lake. Clean restrooms etc. Only thing I missed was the lack of any real hiking trails.
