Nice forest service campground. It is annoying when people reserve spots and never show up. I wish all of the SD parks would change that. If you don't show up after the first night then the spots should be available to people who actually want to be there. Be nice if there was some dust control in the campground as the gravel is close to the campsites and also there were tons of noxious weeds that need to be sprayed. ?? As a land owner who gets notices about weeds on our land why doesn't the federal government sites have to spray? Just wondering.

Beautiful campground with large campsites that are spread out over a hilly area that overlooks a pristine lake. Trail around lake.
Well maintained, fresh (not potable) water supply, ventilated vault toilets were clean. Very friendly host.
We had so much fun on our stay in route from MN to CO that we booked a site for our return trip. Had another lovely stay.

Nice quiet lake, but the dust is terrible from the road. The road should be mag watered or something for dust control.

Great campground! Only complaint is there is just 1 bathroom per campground loop but it is very clean. The host does an awesome job and is very friendly. Not too far from all the tourist attractions.

Campsites are well spaced. Clean vault restroom. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly campground host. Not crowded, and still close enough to enjoy Hill City, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave.

Great site once we realized we could pull in O loop backwards like all the other RVs on our side. Otherwise, your door goes right into the road. Short walk to Jackson Lake with a view of the Tetons that'll make you cry! Bring your big spray because the mosquitoes were thick!

Beautiful campsite. We love Deerfield Lake. The only negative is the lake is pretty far away. We had to drive down to the lake everyday to get all of our stuff down there. Other than that, great campground!
