What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

A very nice park close to the Michelson Trail for hiking and raspberry picking. Campsites are far enough from the highway that you don't get a lot of noise (even during the Sturgis rally). Didn't explore the lake on this trip, but it would be a great place for anyone with watercraft. Location is great for exploring the Black Hills. Centrally located and just a few miles from Hill City and the Dakota wineries. Site 82 doesn't have a flat location for a tent. Most sites appeared to be good for tent camping. The campground is in a stand of trees, so partial shade throughout the day.

We camped at a site without plumbing and electricity in the back of one of the loops. It was quiet and wonderful for our 6 person family. The sites closer and with more amenities were a bit more congested but not badly. We rented kayaks and canoes and loved being out on the lake. The sand beaches were small but we were often the only family or had one other present. And it was close to Custer Park and Mount Rushmore. Quick trip into Keystone for gas and other needs.

This location was phenomenal! Quiet, relaxing, and beautiful. However, don’t expect any cell service. It’s perfect for a full getaway!

Our stay was short but we definitely will return. Beautiful lake, clean bathrooms stocked well.

The only thing that would improve this campground is a dump station and water filling station. There are water spigots. Also recycling would be an enhancement.

Peaceful and relaxing. The campsite was well kept and the outhouse was clean - although there were a lot of black flies! They had fly catchers in there so they were trying to control them, but it's hard in a situation like that. We enjoyed our stay very much.
