What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

Very nice site and convenient to local activities. Could use more shade but they have planted some trees next tot where we camp so maybe in a few years. Showers were appreciated and free.

We had 6 camp sites and 22 people and it was a great time! The camp ground is pretty spread out, so we were not on top of others campsites. The campground is well kept and we had easy access to the lake and the hiking trails. We were also close enough to Mount Rushmore and other attractions, so that we didn't have to drive too far for any of them. The one negative, was that there was not any cell service, so it made it challenging to communicate with those in our own group, that arrived at different times, to let them know where the sites were and what time they would be arriving. Also, it made it difficult for some that had to do some work, while being on the trip.

Make sure that you get a photo of your spot, so you know if it is level enough for a 5th wheel trail to come off it’s hitch. Plan on a little bit long site for trailer and vehicle to fit. Over all the camper ground is a beautiful place to stay and the people were awesome.

We enjoyed our stay at Sheridan Lake. Would be nice to have a "generator" section, though, as some folks had theirs running for hours on end. Keep their noise in one area, and keep the rest of the campground quieter.
