The view was beautiful, weather was perfect. Would recommend staying here just know there is no way to fill up rv with water. You have to go 5 miles back down road to another campground and pay $5, you will also need to come back to that campground to pay $10 to dump when you leave Sheridan Lake

4.5 stars. Nice campground in the black hills. Kinda missed a shower and flush toilets, but we survived without them. Very scenic right on the lake.

Beautiful area. Campsites are well laid out and not packed together.

There to support Boy Scout troop who were backpacking. When parents picked up their children at end of week they were charged $8 . Not good.

We were there just overnight but camp was very nice and quiet. The sites are very big.

This was our second trip to Sheridan Lake. It's beautiful. Kayaked around the entire lake, rock formations near the dam are awesome. Saw lots of fish and quite a few turtles too. Location is convenient, nice drives to the Needles Highway, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, Spearfish (drive the Spearfish Canyon if you go). There's a swimming beach, seems great for kids and adults.
