What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

Great campground, we were in the “woodsy “ loop right on the lake and it had the newer pit toilets ( stay away from the “thumper” loop with old stinky pit toilets!)
Lots of tremendous activities in the Black Hills!!!
We were there nine days and could have stayed another nine.
Fresh water and dump station as well as cheap firewood at Three Forks ?? RV park across the street from the ConocoPhillips gas station at the junction of 16 & 385, only a couple miles from Sheridan lake

Early in the season, not a lot of people there. The campsites are spaced well. Old pit toilets were gross, new ones, nice. Camp host very attentive. I picked up two old beer cans around our site otherwise clean. Lots of wind. It was a good place to base and explore the area.

What an amazing place to camp in the Black Hills! We were in site 66 which had an incredible view of the lake and the dam. The site was clean, the bathroom was clean, and the hosts are super nice. There is water, but just to fill up a jug to wash dishes, etc. And there is a dumpster. You’re 7 minutes from a gas station where you can get a bit of cell service, otherwise there’s pretty much zero until Hill City which is just a quick 10-15 min drive. You’re super close to most attractions too. The marina was great, we rented a boat and the new owners were so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We love Lake Sheridan!! This was our second time here and we plan on coming again in the fall. If you’re ok with no service and generator only...I highly recommend!! There’s not a bad site. Beautiful!!

Our reservation for two nights was for site 037. This site was too soft and unstable on one side, causing our RV tires to sink in the ground. The Camp Host acknowledged the situation and helped us move to a better site.

It was our first camping trip and we had a great time! Our spot had amazing lake views and a direct path to the water. Area and bathrooms are maintained well and there's a nice hiking trail off the lake.
