Campground was clean and the staff was great! The sites are spread out so even though the sites were mostly full, it didn't feel cramped.

Our campsite was everything we needed. Very peaceful and quiet. Bathrooms were clean. The view was spectacular especially during sunset. Not far from Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

There is no dump at this campground. Hosts were not very helpful in identifying a place to dump your RV. Other than that, things were pretty clean. Liked the loop closest to the boat launch. It was smaller, more remote and we could access the trailhead easily.

Our site was absolutely amazingly beautiful. Our kids loved that they were so close to the marina where they could fish from the dock and see the boats come in. They talked to to all the fisherman going out in the water asking them about their catches. As parents it was nice to be at the campsite and still have eyes on the kids at the dock. We were right next to the vault toilets which were cleaned and taken care of everyday although the smell still wasn’t great. Sheridan lake does not have a dump site so using our RV facilities weren’t an option since we are a family of 5. Wish Sheridan lake had some sort of black dump option on site. Water spigot was also next to toilet area and although I didn’t love toting water the fact that we didn’t need to tote it that far was nice. I wish these sites had electric hookup’s. Not being able to run a generator would be nice. We unfortunately needed to run a generator during the day to keep out solar battery charged since we were down in the valley and the trees limited the amount of sun we got for our solar to recharge them. We had an amazing time! It was so peaceful and beautiful. My husband said it was a spiritual experience to see the beauty. None of our cameras captured how beautiful it was. Definitely would recommend just be prepared to “rough” it even if you bring and RV.

Thursday and Friday was great. Saturday it rained all day, and Sunday we fished for a couple of hours and went home.

This was a clean , quite place to camp. It was off of main roads back far enough to not hear the traffic. The out houses were clean.
