What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

The roads around the campground are very narrow. Campsite was not level, we had to back into site making the fire pit and picnic table on the wrong side. Campsite was very small.

Our whole trip was largely a test run to see how the new RV handles dry camping, as well as the generator we brought in powering things up when needed. Happy to report all things worked well and Sheridan Lake area is beautiful as always. Just wish they would help us keep it beautiful by upgrading some RV sites to full service so that noisy generators are a thing of the past and everyone can enjoy quiet peaceful mornings the way nature intended. Most of western South Dakota's lake area campgrounds are in bad need of these upgrades.

NICE CAMPGROUND AROUND THE LAKE & THE SMELL OF PONDEROSA PINES IN THE AIR! WATER AND TOILETS NEARBY & A $10 DUMP STATION DOWN THE ROAD. NO AT&T cell SERVICE. GOOD FRIENDLY HOSTS! A GOOD LOCATION FOR HOPPING TO ALL THE SIGHTS IN THE AREA!
