What Guests Are Saying
Blue Heron Campground is well-maintained, peaceful, and offers clean facilities, making it a favorite for many visitors. The proximity to hiking trails, especially the Blue Heron Loop, adds to its appeal. While some campers noted noise from nearby children and the absence of a campground host, the overall atmosphere is friendly and the campground provides a great outdoor experience.

A hidden GEM! Level, wide lots, play grounds, and a good price. All paved roads, if somewhat winding. Don't hesitate to book your site. Also, each site has a metal bear box for your food, if you are tent camping.

Very nice campsites and facilities. Only 3 campsites were occupied. Signage on highways could be improved directing one to the campground.

Relatively small campground but only a handful of campers present mid-week when we were there. Facilities were clean and in good repair. Lots of good hiking in the area and views.

Pleasant, well-maintained campsites in a small campground. Bathrooms could stand some updating but were otherwise fine. Good location for area hiking and kayaking.

We had a good weekend at he campground, it’s small and quiet. We did lots of hiking to see waterfalls and rock formations.

My four friends and I tent and hammock camped at Blue Heron after a river camping trip. The site was well kept and bathhouse was clean. It’s a nice, peaceful campground without the crowds of larger campgrounds. Excellent for car camping or motorcycle camping.

This is in an amazingly beautiful area. We rode our bikes down to the big south fork river. Hardly any traffic on the roads. Very nice !! The big scenic train ride is nice too
