What Guests Are Saying
Blue Heron Campground is well-maintained, peaceful, and offers clean facilities, making it a favorite for many visitors. The proximity to hiking trails, especially the Blue Heron Loop, adds to its appeal. While some campers noted noise from nearby children and the absence of a campground host, the overall atmosphere is friendly and the campground provides a great outdoor experience.

Very nice campground with basic amenities. The only downside was the bathrooms were not being cleaned during our visit, not sure why not.

We had a good experience here. Bathrooms were clean and had soap and hand dryers. The roads coming into the site was narrow and very winding but that is the way most of the roads were around there.

As always, we had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron. There were very few other campers that late in the season, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, hiking, relaxing and basking in the silence!

Loved the camp ground and attractions around it. Only thing that bothered me was no one around to represent the campground. No camp host or ranges.

I brought my telescope and took advantage of the one of the darker areas in the region. It was a new moon and the Milky Way was visible. Some tree cover limited the sky, but it was mostly a wonderful way to camp and star gaze!

Very nice NP campground. Water, electric and even WiFi! Hiking trails nearby and a train ride with mine tour in Sterns, about 15 minutes away. River access about 15 minutes also.
