Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and appreciated the helpful staff, particularly in maintaining clean restrooms and sites. We were on Site 25. Grill needed to be replaced. Not useable!!! No roof covers on tables STARTING at site 25 thru 40+. We pay the same rates as those with roof covers! We had site 25! Need roof covers badly! There were days of 100+ degrees while there! Been going there for years! Yrs ago we could see the lake from sites.. Now, weeds have taken over. Need these improvements!!! Thank You!

We really enjoyed our site. The tree canopy really helped with not overheating. We have enjoyed each time we've stayed.
I would have given 5 stats except for one of the park hosts. My mom was coming to visit us and didn't stop immediately after I went through the gate. Seeing this the park host came to the gate and was yelling and screaming at all of us. He was very aggressive and was threatening to throw her out of the park. I tried to explain that my mom is almost 80 and that I stopped to make sure she entered the code to go through. He told me he "he didn't care if she was 105", asked "can't she read", and "I run this park!" He was very confrontational and unreasonable.
I don't know this park hosts name. He is bald, has a heavy beard and lives in a park model rv.

Why do they not have anybody at the front desk anytime plus why do they have all the play aera locked up so the kids can not play.
Covid is a poor excuse to lock up play aera. This is the only park where they have 3 gate hosts and no one at the front gate.

Texas is HOT!!! the campground was well maintained and a good place to stay especially when it is cooler. A group of teenagers came in a nod stayed on an RV sight we wondered how it would be, no issues but the host had to pick up some gary left behind. Had a ned emergency, had to leave early. Good place not sewer hookups like most state parks. Clean power good water pressure. Cool views of the lake

Hands down worst park to choose to camp the very first time after buying our 5th wheel. We were threatened, harassed and completely bullied the entire stay 9 days total and waste a of money to add to the catastrophic events that were unfortunately happening to us also and you would think that park is supposed to be helpful well they lacked that part of the job. I have never been treated so horribly in my life and Then we stayed at Live Oak Ridge Park. I don’t recommend that place at all its horrible
