What Guests Are Saying
Potters Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with large, spacious sites and clean facilities, including highly praised bathrooms and showers. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the park's scenic views, making it a great spot for camping and exploring the Hill Country. While some areas of the park lack shade and the lake levels are low, overall experiences have been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

It rained heavy one night and we were so glad to have a screen shelter. Good site views, close to bathroom and even in the dry conditions, the boat ramp was still open.

Beautiful park. Lake is extremely low. Close to hill country, etc….. Never been to a campground that requires vehicle pass to exist the park as well as enter.

We used to visit Potters Creek every year. It was a tradition that we carried for over 20 years. Unfortunately, after our last visit - we will not be back. Grass was not mowed, trash and glass everywhere. The pavilions are rotted and falling apart, the bbq grills also rusted and falling apart. The bathrooms have not been updated nor cleaned. Showers were broken.. We couldn't believe the state of despair the park was in.. Rules were nor enforced as there was a trailer parked in one of the tent spots and other folks coming from other campsites and parking in a reserved area to get water access.

Camping area is will laid out with ample space between sites. Pads are level and long io accommodate class A & 5th wheels. Tables are covered with a wood roof. Bath houses are nice but could be benefit from the installation of roof windows. They are very dark in bright sunlight. Lots of birds.

The park is very nice. Lots of shaded sites unless you want to be right on the water and then there’s no shade. You cannot come into the park till 3pm. No early entrance. The one negative thing I did not like was that when you went out in the evening, you could not come back into the park after 10 PM. No gate code. No entering. The park was locked from 10 p.m. until morning. They need to get a lock and code system in place.

Level asphalt site with lots of space between neighbors including a space for your tow vehicle. Covered picnic table. Quiet evenings, lots of trees, great view of the lake. Day trips to Austin and San Antonio.
