This CORPS OF ENGINEERS campgrounds is quiet, with water and 50 or 30 amp service electricity and a dump station on the way out. Lots of room. It wasn't busy at all but the last weekend of the season brought in the campers. We stayed 2 weeks. The showers could use some maintenance though - light didn't work in one, door didn't lock in another, no hot water in another and they all didn’t drain properly leaving puddles to stand in while trying to dress. Overall it was a relaxing stay.

The 1st campsite as you see when you pull in looks like a junkyard! I have never seen one site cluttered with so much junk! It was hideous! The gate attendants were so adamant that no-one pull/park on the grass yet the one junkyard site had junk items all over it & many areas needed mowed! The water of the lake was very low & stagnant. The bathrooms were nonworking and disgusting. The only good thing I can say is the site we had had good shade & a would be wonderful view of the lake if it had not been so low.

We love Bear Creek and Holliday because its convenient to the house but were out in nature. We love the deer encounters especially. My dog knows when were getting close she perks up and wants the window rolled down.
