What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

We were in site 58. Mosquitoes were a problem due to the lake being full and the water backing up into the wooded area near this section of the campground. It is likely that other areas of the campground where it wasn't quite as marshy would have had fewer mosquitoes.
This campground is reasonably close (20 to 30 minutes) to 2 vintage aircraft and warbird museums, a zoo, an arboretum, and the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Nice stay. Site was very unlevel, but we made it work. Fresh water wasn’t available at our site, however site 83 was available to fill up our tank. One restroom was closed for repairs, the other was very dirty, so I was glad I had my own in my rig. Steve, at the check in booth, was very nice and helpful. Nature Trail was a good hike. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Nice staff at check in. My only concern was that when I arrived after 7 pm on Friday night, there was a person with their backpack and dog set up in my assigned reserved camping spot using the electric. I pulled up to the entrance of the pull thru spot and waited for two minutes and nothing happened. Then I turned my dome light on and pulled up my cell phone so it was visible in the window and started to look up an emergency number vs. backing up and going back to the check in booth. At that point the squatter hurriedly packed their stuff up and walked away into the night darkness. Just thought your park would want to know this. Beautiful camping spot by the lake.

Love it! Nice peaceful place. The gate DOES get locked at 10pm so don't be caught on the outside of it. Deer tend to watch you so be on the lookout when walking and driving. Hot showers!! Plenty of dump stations and trash dumpsters. Not to far from town if you need to make a Walmart run. Far enough to still see the stars.
It's a clean place
Keep it that way. Clean up after yourself.

Staff at main gate were extremely rude. Bathrooms were disgusting. Urine and feces coming out of toilets and onto floors. People at campsites were loud way past 10:00pm.

First solo camping trip. I had a few issues with setting up and then there was that big storm that was scary but all in all it was a great trip. I reserved another campsite for later in the spring.
