What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

Nice spot and helpful people. Vault toilets were horrible. Many low hanging tree limbs that will scratch the top of RV.

The Park is very nice, however they have Electrical issues. We had electrical interruptions ( power shutting off, flashing back on, turning off again) about a quarter of our time there. We had to run our Generator part of our time there. We had concerns for all of our appliances with the abrupt outage, back on , and back out again.
Staff was friendly when we reported problems, however the only reply was we could move to a new site, or wait til maintenance crew was back on duty.

We are teachers; therefore, we are savvy to emails, websites, etc. Even the host manager stated that the information about the well being dry was buried on the website. We rented an RV from RVshare.com and headed straight to Benbrooke Lake; upon arriving at 7:45 pm (in the dark), we were told that our site had no water, because the well was dry. Since we paid for a 50 amp full hookup site, we asked if we could be moved. With our permission, we were moved to a site that had water and 30 amp service. However, we were charged for that move. Upon daylight, we noticed that there were plenty of open sites; however, we were placed near a site where the campers were very loud from sunrise to sunset and beyond using foul language, hollering at each other, loud music. Finally, on the second evening of our stay, we called the campground station requesting they visit with those campers to be more respectful of others and not be so loud. The campers actually got louder; the rules were not enforced. It was very hard to sleep. When we did get to sleep, we overslept. Starting at 1 pm, we started packing up the rv that we had rented; not really savvy with that part since not our rv. Then a lady came by with a less than professional manner that we were to be out by 2 pm. She continued to drive around waiting on us. She needs to be the one driving around having campers turn down. We made it out by 2:30 pm; the place was nearly empty. Though we had a positive experience during Thanksgiving week, I do not know if we will be back. We paid alot to have two days for a time of outdoor peace. We should not have been charged to move nor treated the way we were before checkout. We will be requesting a partial refund.

We had a very enjoyable time at this campground. The gate hosts were always friendly and helpful with a big smile! Very welcoming and refreshing in these times. The campsites were clean and enjoyed the “lighthouse” electrical hookup. Just enough light to be helpful. Also, the big yards are super. A great experience!
Enjoyed watching the deer - thankfully missed seeing the Mountain Lion.
Thankful to all!
