My wife and I love this campsite. It’s not too far from home but feels like you’re out in the middle of nowhere. Staff is very friendly. Campsites are clean and well maintained. Deer are walking around everywhere. Have brought grandkids out and they love to fish here. Perfect place to build memories

I was here for 2 weeks in August/September 2024. Loved the campground. Campsites were large compared to most I've seen, and the deer and wild turkeys would roam so close to my site. Showers were clean and well-maintained. I love the large private-room style bathroom/shower set-up. A few problems over Labor Day weekend with the power shutting off due to overload, and on Monday the water had a strong bleach taste to it. I asked about it at the guard shack and the lady was less than friendly and not at all helpful, said "I used it to make my coffee this morning and it was fine." Biggest problem was the ants. There was nowhere my dogs could go to the bathroom and not get their feet instantly covered in ants. I get it's camping but we've never had this problem at any other campground. Unlikely I'll be back for that reason alone.

This is our third time staying here and we will return again. Sites are very spacious and come with covered picnic table, bbq grill and fire pit. Most have shade trees. Lots of birds, lake views and great sunrises. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't forget about the nightly entrance gate closures at 10pm or you'll be walking to your site! Location is quite convenient to Fort Worth and city amenities but in the country enough so that you feel like you are camping among nature. Only wish there were more full hookup sites.

This is a very nice campground close to Fort Worth, TX. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The bathrooms need to be updated. The bath house was not heated so I did not used the showers. I stayed for 4 nights. The site I was in #$44, pull thru, was very tight, you must pull in perfectly straight or you will tear off your awning.

This is a great place to camp. The new heated restroom/showers are nice when it's cold. The park hosts are friendly
