What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

I was a little disappointed in the bath house. The army corp campgrounds I am used to visiting in North Carolina have more modern user friendly bathrooms. The bath houses here were clean but looked old and out of date. In the toilet area there was no sink. The sink was located in the shower area which is in a separate room.

No hot water park-wide due to plumbing issues. The drain in shelter backed up and had tons of rocks down the cleanout. This was reported to the park staff. The fire ring/grill is rusted out and the grill part is unusable.

I frequent this park many times a year since it so close and the volunteers are great. Love that the lake is rising, wish I could catch something. It is a great place to get away. I highly recommend it.

Not well maintained. No hot water in the showers even though we reported it for 9 days straight. We were constantly fighting off wasps in the shelter. Front staff was very friendly and helpful though.

Fantastic campground in a great location. Beware though, gate closes at 10pm and they won’t let you in if you are running late. Plan accordingly.

This is an older campground and its age is showing. Recent low temps had major affect on the water system. Only one men’s room was working and the campground was only partially open. Site was dirty when we arrived. Previous pet owners had not cleaned up after their pets. There was trash everywhere and the driveway had screws scattered around it. Never saw anyone who works there except for the person at the gate. Restrooms were not cleaned. We would not recommend except for a place to sleep overnight.
