What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

We loved the massive trees and the close proximity to town. Great combination

Love to camp here. This is a nice quiet park. I usually camp during the week days and enjoy the peacefulness.

The park itself is 5 stars. It's beautiful, the sites are spacious and it's got good amenities. The reason I give it three stars is because there's an old bag that works at the front gate who is obviously very bored with her life. She is up your ass about anything and everything and when she confronts you, she's rude and has an attitude. I get she's there to make sure the park is up to par with the rules and regulations but it's a campground and not a lot goes on. Every time I interact with her she's unapproachable and not friendly. She tries to argue with you and expects you to submit to her but I am not one to submit so when I stuck up for myself, that's when she backed down and actually listened to what I was saying. Needless to say, she needs to get laid and chill out. Anyways, if you travel here you'll definitely enjoy the park but not interacting with the front gate attendant.

Large sites, good shade, and well maintained. We were in site #12 which was fairly level and had good shade. It was also long enough to accommodate the longest coaches and towed vehicle. Roads are in good shape and the lawns were mowed. Lake was low enough that all boat ramps were closed.

Park staff was very nice. Our campsite (#068) was in well-kept shape, and was close to the water. The hiking trail was great, with varied terrain and marked entrances. The downside of our campsite was that it is located on a main road, which stayed busy. The closest bathroom to the campsites near us was in disrepair and the men’s bathroom was locked. Because of this, the groups camping down the road from us kept getting into their cars all night long to drive to the bathroom closer to the entrance because it was open and easier to use.

No potable water at campsite, loop, or dump station.
Need easily accessible and locatable potable water in the campground.

The location is convient to Fort Worth and the area is beautiful. However, the direction provided were horrible. Now that I can find it, I’ll be back.

Riding Bikes had a great view of the lake. Very Good exercise and the Air was so clean to breath. Campsite had enough parking to get both vehicles on the site. Very Well Kept.
