What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

Our trip here was so fun and the site was BEAUTIFUL. First time ever camping at lake Benbrook and will for sure be coming here more frequently. We had a visitor who ended up ruining our stay and now know to be more responsible with our guest. ( They will NEVER be returning with us). But other than our guest the staff was very friendly and allowed us to stay even after our guest was not being respectful. This park is clean, and it is very easy to reserve and prices are also reasonable. The only thing I think I would like is if all the sites had photos online. I would highly recommend stay at this park!

Excellent park. As with any park some spots are better then others. Never had a bad one but lots of great ones! Staff is great and very helpful. Nice clean park!

Like many campgrounds, this one has a gate closure at 10pm. This place is different though because if you are out past 10pm, you are locked out of the park until the next morning. Had a 5th wheel in the campground so we had to spend the night in a hotel.
This is the only park I have ever heard of that does not provide a way in after the gates close. NEVER AGAIN! Avoid this campground at all costs. Of course, no refund offered. We left the very next morning.

We always have a relaxing time at this campground. Its conveniently locate close enough to our home in Fort Worth, and it takes no time to get there, set up and rest up from the week. Headed there again in October.

Really need trees trimmed A LOT on road coming into Park AND in the Park. They should be 13.6' high to not touch RV rigs. They have done a great job of resurfacing the road coming in! Other than trees....great park! We love it and been there many times.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was great and the park and wildlife are scenic! Probably the only thing that kept me from rating this 5 stars would be the swarms of gnats in the restrooms, which made using it very uncomfortable for my spouse. The gate staff was fantastic… very courteous and helpful!

Location is great, but maintenance, landscaping, and facilities just keep getting in worse condition. Desparately need a coded entry gate like other Corps parks. No need to be staffing gatehouse hours if coded gate was added and campers could come and go at later hours. Benbrook self check-in coded gate system would be a good example.
Grass mowing looked like a 7 year old was let loose with a riding mower leaving clumps of grass everywhere and no trimming was done at all. Gave a very seedy look to the park and the campsites.
Bath houses desperately need a can of paint and someone maintaining them properly. Correct size toilet seats and completely bolting them on would help immensely along with some paint, screen repair and general maintenance.
Seems to be one of the biggest staffs living there, but not sure what they do other than man the gatehouse hours.

Park was nice. Electric and water hookups worked. Front gate personnel was not very welcoming. Acted like we were a nuisance to their day.
