What Guests Are Saying
San Augustine Park is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms and friendly caretakers who enhance the experience. Campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and excellent fishing opportunities, making it a favorite destination for many. While some concerns exist regarding electrical hookups and maintenance, overall, visitors enjoy their stays and look forward to returning.

Volunteer old guy with cowboy hat, Neil I believe, came after I'd been there four days and insisted I was in wrong site and needed to move. He wanted to see my paperwork and was rude about it. I showed him, I was in right spot and post at site even showed, I was right. He left in a hurry, saying campsite must of been double booked.
If he had bothered looking, at site number, before waking me, it could've been avoided. The people that moved into their reserved site, kept giving me the stink eye, even though I was in right and they got site, they reserved.
I ended up getting refund, for unused days and leaving early, because of this.
Another host came by later and apologized for mix up, they were on same loop, so probably were the hosts, for that part of campground and rude guy, was out of his mind.
I stay at lots of Corp CG and this is rudest/meanest "volunteer" I've seen.

We love camping at San Augustine park. Most campsites are roomy with great views of the lake. Restrooms and shower rooms are clean. ATT internet is sketchy at best🥺

Great time! The grass was tall and there are lots of dead trees close to the lots.

The front gate attendant were the sweetest ppl ever! The spot we chose had an amazing view of the lake and was so clean. I can’t speak for the restroom/showers because we use our camper but the park was so clean and the trees were beautiful and plentiful. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend and can’t wait to go back again soon.

The park was very quiet and peaceful. Very few campers. There is a small grocery store a few miles outside the park, but we did not go in. Nothing else close.

Nice campground, we've camped there before. Do wish the COE would re-open a few of the tent sites, as no sites have pads or even level places to pitch a tent. Clean restrooms.

The water was excellent, cleaner and clearer than any lake in Texas I’ve been. The park attendant was super nice and kept the grounds immaculate.

Very nice park. Nice staff. I will be happy to return once 50 amp service is available! Could use some site leveling and general capital improvements.
