What Guests Are Saying
San Augustine Park is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a peaceful getaway for campers. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including the restrooms and showers, as well as the scenic views of Sam Rayburn Lake. Some areas for improvement include the need for additional electrical upgrades and more frequent grass maintenance, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Nice campground, we've camped there before. Do wish the COE would re-open a few of the tent sites, as no sites have pads or even level places to pitch a tent. Clean restrooms.

The water was excellent, cleaner and clearer than any lake in Texas I’ve been. The park attendant was super nice and kept the grounds immaculate.

Very nice park. Nice staff. I will be happy to return once 50 amp service is available! Could use some site leveling and general capital improvements.

We came from Fort Worth to spend some time away, it was absolutely amazing. The staff and the community were so kind and helpful. Parkway pantry up the road had everything we needed when it came up, and last but not least it was absolutely beautiful and well kept. 10/10 will be back. Worth the drive for sure.
