What Guests Are Saying
San Augustine Park is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a peaceful getaway for campers. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities, including the restrooms and showers, as well as the scenic views of Sam Rayburn Lake. Some areas for improvement include the need for additional electrical upgrades and more frequent grass maintenance, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

The campsites here are spread out so this makes for a nice experience. Going in the fall and being away from the water, we were in a loop all by ourselves at site 89. The site was fairly level. There was no bathroom in this particular loop but we didn’t really need one. We camped at several sites on our trip and this one was our dog’s favorite because she enjoyed the wildlife even more than we did. Lots of deer are in this park. We’re hoping to return & get a site near the water just because it’s so beautiful.

A great place to go to relax and enjoy the lake! We enjoy a little fishing, our grand and great grand children enjoy swimming! We go at least 2 or 3 times a year! We love it!

The park was so well cared for. Grass was cut and sites are great. The bathrooms and showers were nice and clean too!

We struggled with our electricity. Half the loop lost electricity.
