What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

The guard arms on the park were broken. One night a car came thru the park at an excessive speed and playing loud music at midnight. Our security was questioned. I did inform the park host so they could address this issue. They said to contact 911and that what they would do. The park needs to replace the guard arms on both gates.
Thanks

This was our 3rd stay a Sandy Creek. Stayed 4 days/3 nights. Had site 41 & don’t recommend it. The table & awning are located behind the trailer. Next door site is so close that you can’t fully extend the awning. Good for two sites together if your visiting with friends. Fortunately we were. Love the peace & quiet of this campground and easy access to the lake. The only issue this time was that there was only lukewarm water in the showers on the men’s side of any of the 3 bathhouses. I did report it. The girls were completely happy with the water temperature on their sides. We will go back again but next time I’ll check the showers before jumping in! Otherwise, I’ll shower in the trailer.

Site-14 March 13-22, 2023 My rig is a 40’ 5th wheel / 22’1-ton dully. Pros; pull thru site-14 is long and easy to park in with spacious asphalt platform for the landing the access steps. Site-14 is very secluded. The campground is well maintained with new asphalt roads. Hosts are friendly and keep the restrooms, grounds and dump station clean. Great views of the lake from many of the sites however at site-14 lake view is block by trees. Cons: parking pad for site-14 is in poor condition, crumbling asphalt. The dump station is tight turning for big rigs. Restrooms and shower facilities need updating. Bugs, gnats, no-see-ums, and mosquitoes get ferocious, be prepared.
