What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

Great campground. We were in site 40 which is extremely close to site 41. That one was empty except for our last night. We had to park close to the one edge of the driveway or our slides would have been nearly over their parking area. There was one other group of 2 sites close together, but in that case, one was marked as closed. Would highly recommend this campground--just not site 40 or 41. We were there with a 38 ft Class A.

This is a pretty campsite and the sites are nicely spaced.

Large sites with easy access. Our site was level and provided excellent lake views. Power was clean and great water pressure. No hiking trails so you have to walk the roads. If you are into fishing most sites have direct lake frontage and those that don't have easy access. Only down was the bath house was less than clean. I found this a bit unusual as there were not many campers and even fewer using the facilities as most were in RV's.

This was our time at a COD park. We enjoyed it very much. A lot of space between campsite. Very impressed with scenery. Some sites are just steps away from waters edge. Bathroom/Showers need updating. Did not have a chance to go on any trails. We will definitely go again and stay longer. Price was very affordable ( half price with state senior pass).

Park is clean and pretty well maintained. Many lots with views of the water and some with amazing sunset views. Most lots seem to be fairly level and easy to access. The covered picnic tables are a very nice bonus also. There are no sewer hookups, which is not a big problem but the dump station is difficult to get to. It is located in a section of the park that can require a fairly long drive to access it. It also has a short tight turn and could be difficult for larger rigs to access. Over all, I really enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

Huge lots with great views of water and cypress trees and beautiful sunsets! The hosts were helpful and available as well.

Nice level sites, spacious, most with lake views. Gatehouse unattended; you get a map and you are on your own to find a site and set up and register. Showers so grubby looking I did not try to use. None of those reassuring brown signs on roads leading in to reassure you you are going the right way.
