What a beautiful campground. Peaceful and quiet. Deer, very clean and well taken care of. Thrilled we found it.

Beautiful part of Texas, loved the tall pines. We stayed here in our tiny runaway campet for just an overnight stop on a road trip. Beautiful area! Was fairly quiet, had a large group in a big RV camping right next to us and they were a little noisy but not late night noisy, just initially. It's really pretty here, would definitely return.

Please note that the photo for this site is inaccurate. This site is nicely situated with plenty of space to enjoy yourself. The swim beach was nice but a bit outdated as one of the concrete tables was almost completely covered by sand and dirt. There are free life jackets available for use. The road leading to the boat launch was being repaired while we were there but prior to that, there was a lot of daily activity. Plenty of deer seen daily. Squirrels can get a little too comfortable in your site so keep that in mind when you leave objects around. The bathrooms could have been kept cleaner as there were many spiders and webs. The hosts seemed a bit overwhelmed with the upkeep and the grass was quite overgrown. There was a crew that seemed to be hired that came in before the Fourth of July weekend and swept through the area in a day with mowers and weed eaters, which was very good to see.

It was completely overgrown in grass and weeds and the ants just carried us off.

Everything was good at this campground except; we were invaded by ants! Thousands of them. Also the lake water was hotter than my bath water. Literally. Hard to feel refreshed from the summer heat when the lake can’t cool you off. Otherwise the space was nice and large, the picnic table was clean, great grill on fire pit, lantern hook. All was nice except the ants and HOT lake water

My family visit this campsite every year for last 6 years. The staff is wonderful. I would recommend upgrading, playground, and restroom/shower A/c.
Please keep campsite open for years to come.

Nice place, welcoming staff. Sites are very close together but offer good views. some sites are really dated in that they do not accommodate Fifth wheels very well. I love the availability of all electric options at each site. Dump station was in good working order. Some sites are well shade others not at all. Overall a bargain and close by so that adds value.
