This was our first time to visit Midway and we enjoyed our weekend. To make things better, it would be nice to have full hookups (sewer) and 50 amp at all the camping spots.

Awesome place! Sites are nice and spread out. We had a beautiful view of the lake. An owl flew up and sat in the tree beside us to watch the fire. We will return.

Great location close to town. 15 Min from Magnolia Table if you are a fan. If you are into eating out and sight seeing you will not a disappointed. If you are looking for a quite safe place for the night you are 5 minutes off I35 and no traffic noise. Park has a boat ramp for those that want to fish the lake. Most of the spots are spacious and semi level but beware this park is mostly on an incline/hill and some spots will require leveling blocks for anything over 30 ft. ****Note the overpass you have to go under if you are coming from I35 looks short but it is 14’ 9” and should be ok for most RVs.

We had a full hookup spot that was spacious and included a covered picnic table and fire pit. All the full hookup sites are pull through and paved…easy to level. Only complaint is that the full hookup sites are closest to the highway, so there is some road noise (trees/bushes screen the highway from view). Other sites, all with water + electric, are farther back in the park and very peaceful. They are all spacious and have picnic tables with fire pits. In the back of the park their is a connecting trail to hike over to adjoining parks, giving us room to roam. Lots of trees and access to Lake Waco with a boat ramp. Definitely a great place to park and “chill out” for a few days!

Overall excellent experience. Wonderful sites: level, crushed granite surface, paved parking. Restrooms clean but only one shower stall working, pealing wall panels, no grab bar or hooks, or seat in shower. Plenty of hot water & good pressure. The entrance building & restroom structures had lots of rotted exterior trim boards. The window sill at entrance was rotted. More delayed building maintenance than I'd expect at a federal facility. The staff were friendly & helpful. There was a sewer blockage in part of the campsites but there was an immediate & extensive effort to fix it. Only a few sites were impacted for about 12 hours.

It was perfect. Lady at reception was so friendly and helpful. Camp site was clean and well maintained. Playground was great for our grandson. He and our daughter discovered the hiking trail and walked for miles. Highly recommend Midway Park
