The staff was courteous and helpful. The park and area were clean. Our view was to die for. Loved watching the birds around the lake and the evening sunsets. One of our all time favorite camping spots.

Very nice campground. It is all paved, most sites are level, well maintained. Easy access to highway. Sites include tables and some have covers.

The person working the front gate is always so friendly. We really do love the lakefront sites. The firepits and the covered picnic tables are great. It's also very conveniently located. The drive to downtown Waco is only about 15 minutes.

Loved the campsite! Tons of trees and shade, no need for any canopy. Ample space to accommodate family and kids. Only drawback is the length of RV pad. Limited in length and poses a challenge to leveling the RV. Other drawback is the park closure at 10PM. You can leave but getting back in after that hour is not possible.

Another great stay for us at Midway. This is an unusual Texas COE park, in our experience. It's located in a fairly large city, but the park still has lots of natural landscape to enjoy, as well as the lake location. We like the choice of spending a day at the park, or taking advantage of everything Woodway and Waco have to offer.
We stayed at Midway in a 31 foot 5th wheel rv.
If you haven't been, check out the National Mammoth Monument, The Mayborn Museum, and the Woodway/Carleen Bright Arboretum.

From I-35, take the exit for Hwy 6 N toward Meridian (330B) for about 5 miles. Immediately before crossing the lake, exit right at Midway Park Exit. At the exit, drive under the bridge and the park is a quarter-mile down the east-bound service road.
