This park was so nice. Very peaceful along Lake Waco, about 12 minutes from downtown attractions made this stop the best. My only complaint is that the grass was knee high and we had a pull through but couldn't pull through when we left because the tree limbs have not been trimmed. It would have scratched the hell out of my RV so we had to back out when leaving. Site 22

the staff was very courteous and friendly. my only real complaint is that the grounds could use a regularly schedule up keep. the grass was tall and in desperate need of a cut, this created a higher than normal amount of pesky insects to deal with

This was a great campground with very spacious campsites. Nice & clean site with picnic table, grill and fire ring. Unfortunately, a cool front blew in and thought it was too windy for a campfire. We will come back to this nice campground.

Signs leading to park need clarification!
Update: We received a pleasant call from the park apologizing for this incident .
Since we were unable to stay there, I want to say that overall the location was fantastic & when back in the area, I will reserve there again.

Host was helpful and willing to recommend good restaurants in the area that were family owned. Park was convenient to Waco. Site was easy in easy out and pretty level. Had a large grassy area out our door. Small park with large sites.

We enjoyed our stay. The shelter has plenty of coverage even in bad weather. Just keep in mind it is a shelter and not a cabin so there is no Ac. But there are 4 outlets I believe, so it was plenty to keep us cool at night. I would use it again and have already recommended it to friends.
